Leafpad is an SEO tool that refreshes old posts: it finds pages losing clicks in Search Console, proposes edits and publishes them to WordPress, Shopify or Ghost.

    What is Leafpad?

Leafpad is an SEO tool built to refresh the content you already published. It connects to Google Search Console, finds pages that lost at least 20% of their clicks over 90 days and proposes a rewrite of the weak sections, without changing the URL. It's meant for sites with roughly 50 pages or more and real search history; below that, the company itself says a general chat model will do a better job.

    What each refresh changes

It doesn't just bump the date. Each proposal can fix outdated facts (including prices or plans you no longer sell), fill missing sections, answer queries the page ranks for but doesn't cover well, improve internal linking and rewrite the title and meta description. You see the full diff before anything goes live, and every change can be rolled back. Pages that are still holding their traffic are left alone.

    Publishing and integrations

It works with WordPress, Shopify, Ghost, Webflow, Framer and Medium, and with sites built in Lovable, Bolt or Replit. There's also an MCP server: write in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and publish to your domain with one command. The Compound plan adds content-gap finding; the Content Calendar add-on plans and publishes 15 new posts a month.

    How results are measured

After each published refresh, Leafpad compares the 7- and 28-day windows before and after in Search Console, skipping the noisy week around publish day. It only calls a result when each window has at least 200 clicks. It fits blogs, guides, landing pages and docs at companies that already have a content archive and don't want to keep an agency retainer just to keep it current.

    Leafpad features and use cases

    •Daily Google Search Console monitoring.
•Flagging of pages that lost 20% or more of their clicks over 90 days.
•Refresh proposals with a full diff before publishing.
•Outdated facts corrected against your own product and pricing pages.
•Automatic internal linking between old and new posts.
•Titles and meta descriptions rewritten for the queries that actually bring traffic.
•Publishing to WordPress, Shopify, Ghost, Webflow, Framer and Medium.
•MCP server for publishing from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.
•Use case: a 200-post blog that lost traffic on 30 articles and wants them recovered without rewriting by hand.
•Use case: a marketing team writing in Claude that needs the text to land in WordPress with basic SEO in place.

    How to use Leafpad

1You connect your site and Google Search Console; Leafpad reads the sitemap and the tone of your content.
2Each morning it checks which pages lost clicks and proposes a refresh with the diff in view.
3You can approve by hand or let it publish up to your plan's daily limit.
4After publishing, it checks that the change is on the live page and measures before-and-after results in Search Console.
5If a refresh doesn't look right, you roll it back to the previous version.

    Leafpad FAQ

Will Leafpad change pages that are still working?

No. It only proposes a change when it can explain why the page needs one. Healthy pages are left alone.

Is a refresh just changing the date?

No. It updates facts, fills missing sections, corrects product information, improves internal links and rewrites the title when needed. You see the diff before you approve.

    Who is it for?

Sites with roughly 50 pages or more and real Search Console history. With less volume, the company itself says Claude or another general AI may be enough.

Does it publish changes on its own?

Yes, up to your plan's daily limit, after checking your guardrails. You can also pick pages by hand from the Refresh tab. Every change can be reverted.

Which CMS platforms does it support?

WordPress, Shopify, Ghost, Webflow, Framer and Medium, plus sites built with Lovable, Bolt or Replit.

How does it know something is outdated?

It checks your posts against the product and pricing information you provide. On Free that comes from your public site; on Recover you can upload documents and on Compound sync them over the API.

Does it also create new content?

Yes, as an add-on: Content Calendar finds gaps, plans and publishes 15 new posts a month on Recover or Compound.

Can I publish from Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. There's a free MCP server: write in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and publish to your domain with one command.

How does it measure whether a refresh worked?

It compares 7- and 28-day windows before and after in Search Console, skipping the publish week. It only calls a result when each window has at least 200 clicks.
